DVD Archive Said: Being big fans of George A. Romero, we thought it best to check out this film and see exactly how much they had messed it up! Surprisingly, it hadn’t been a total blow-out at all, but, it did have all the hallmarks of “Rush-Job” all over it. As only 2 in every 5 remake’s recreate the blend and formula of the original film essence, we thought that the 2010 updated version was weak in parts, slow in others and even worse when it came to suspensial horror.
Placing The Crazies on our “Sunday Watch” list, we thought it was only fair to warn people who are also big fans of Romero, that this film is not very scary as in horror, but, perturbing as in “What if that really happened?”
